Learn about Headwaters Outdoor Education
Headwaters is nestled near the stunning Pikes Peak in Woodland Park, Colorado, an area renowned for some of the best fishing in the state. Our picturesque location not only provides a beautiful backdrop for our Christian camps but also offers unique opportunities for outdoor exploration. The proximity to diverse natural environments allows us to travel to different parts of Colorado, facilitating remote training activities that enhance our program. Whether it's traversing rugged terrains or engaging in peaceful wilderness activities, our location enriches our educational experiences and supports our mission to connect youth with nature and their faith.

Going through Headwaters has deepened my faith and strengthened my commitment to follow God's plan for my life. This experience has provided me with the opportunity to grow and become a better version of myself. I am truly grateful for the guidance and support I've received on this journey. -Josiah Yerous

Vision of Headwaters Outdoor Education Program Ministry
Headwaters Outdoor Education Program Ministry exists to transform the lives of young men and women by guiding them into a deep, personal relationship with God through mentorship, discipleship, and outdoor adventure. Our vision is to create a space where youth can experience the power of God’s creation, learn essential life skills, and develop the resilience needed to walk boldly in their faith.
We believe that nature provides the perfect setting for encountering God—whether through the stillness of a mountain sunrise, the challenge of a rugged hike, or the patience required to catch a fish. These moments become opportunities for spiritual growth, self-discovery, and the development of a strong foundation in Christ.
Through consistent mentorship, immersive outdoor experiences, and biblical teaching, our goal is to equip young people with the wisdom, strength, and faith to navigate life’s challenges. By fostering deep, Christ-centered relationships, we aim to cultivate a generation of strong, godly leaders who will carry the love of Christ into their families, communities, and the world.
At Headwaters, we don’t just teach about faith—we walk alongside youth as they grow
In faith.
